Hello, I had my Gastric Sleeve Surgery on June 2,2015. My weight was 289 pounds when I started this journey. My weight the day of surgery was 269 pounds. My weight today is 259 pounds. I am super excited, but my head hunger is already back, and has me extremely nervous. I am drinking 60 mLs of Water every 15 minutes. I meeting my 64 ounces of water on most days without a problem, but I have been reading that everyone else is having a difficult time getting it in, so I am wondering am I over filling my pouch??? I am excited that I found this support page because I am in need of support. It is amazing how much food has controlled my life, but it is time for a change. Now with this fresh new jumpstart, I must control this hunger. I cannot let it control me.

When I was a week out, I could drink a couple of ounces at a time, but then had to wait 15-20 minutes before I could drink more. That amounted to 8 ounces and hour, so, I was able to get close to my goal.

I also was sleeved on June 1st. I can drink 64 oz. of Water with no problem. I have been getting "hungry" the last two days. I'm keeping a food journal daily and I'm eating between 450/550 calories 35/55 gram Protein. I think I need a little more calories. Walking everyday too.

No! I am 8 days post op and can drink really fast too! My NUT told me that liquid empties out of your stomach in 2-3 seconds so you will be able to drink more. ????????

I was sleeved June 1 as well and can pretty easily get in my Water and protein! But yesterday for the first time in a while my new tummy growled at me with intensity as to say " give me some real food lady!" The only problem is that my MD says only full liquids from day 1-22!!

I will say that the support I have received on here had been tremendous and really helps when times are tough!

We should all be proud of ourselves and feel a sense of happiness that we are making changes! Keep up the good work and remember why we started!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
