Anyone planning on (or have had)babies have surgery

Recommended Posts

Had my daughter in March. We can't try for 2 years but has anyone had a baby after surgery? Anyway planning on having one after surgery? What is/wad your timeframe? We aren't quite sure if we want to plan to have another baby or not. The cost of daycare is crazy. Just looking for stories of others

I had surgery 11 days ago and the plan has always been to have another child and I already have 2 boys! Mr surgeon has given me strict instructions NOT to conceive for at least 12 months! Which is fine for me.

Of course this is to allow my body to adjust according and ensure that I can consume a healthy amount before I get pregnant. Hope that helps.

I have 3 kids (4, 7, and 8) and we want one more. I want to lose at least 100 pounds and be a year out before getting pregnant, though I think my surgeon recommends 18 months. I'm going to be 37 in November, plus I don't want too much of an age difference between my youngest and a new baby, so I really don't want to wait too long. I do want to give myself time to be successful with my weight loss though.

I have one child- he is 3 1/2. I spoke to my surgeon at the first appointment about pregnancy after gastric bypass because I want to have 1-2 more kiddos. I am 34 so I have a little time to wait... ????

I plan to wait 2 years after surgery to give my body time to heL and to make my new way of eating a habit/more automatic.

I gained 90lbs the first time I got pregnant. I am not going to repeat that!

Also it might be easier for you to get pregnant at a healthy weight!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
