Monday June 8th is the day!

Recommended Posts

I am using the deli as a resource. For example, I order a beautiful broiled Salmon and blended it in the extra juice, sauce, gravy, I asked for at purchase with a hit of 1/3 fat cream cheese. Oh my God, delicious. I love beans! I blended baby Limas and baked chicken (extra juice) and had a hit of whipped sweet potatoes. Monday, I am going to slow cook a cheap steak with broccoli add some kind of cheap low sodium teriyaki sauce with a few grains of brown rice and lose my mind in the world of 2 oz dining.

Just checking in. Stalled out this week, but inches are still dropping. I feel like I'm 100% healed no restrictions except food of course. About to begin new workout plan to begin toning and hopefully tightening those loose areas. Keep up the good fight everyone!

Hi Mel,

I am same day sleeve and I am starting my exercise routine as well. I am down 38 pounds and I stalled this week, so time to change it up! I have eaten a variety of foods, my favorites right now being seafood and for snack teriyaki turkey Jerky. Can't handle rice, bread, raw salad type veggies, and sugary things...my only cheat thus far has been a small margarita made with lime crystal light and tequila (tiny amount) and it took me 4 hours to finish it!! Still working it, good to hear you are too...

Checking in .... how is everyone doing?

I'm doing well, getting in 60-80 grams of Protein daily & about 800 calories. I'm pretty much eating 4 small meals a day. Also, I got released to go back to the gym and to lift as of last week, so I've been to the gym daily. Feels great! I've had a bit of a stall, stayed at the same weight for a week, and the two weeks before that I had only lost a pound. That being said, I'm just trying to exercise and eat right, drink my Water and get my protein. I'm feeling good though. How about you?

Sounds like exactly the same except I haven't been to the gym but I am walking. I've only lost a couple of pounds in two weeks too. Not stressing yet though lol.

Had a check up today at seven almost eight weeks. I'm at 307 down from 365 in April. I feel fantastic and I'm actually out of clothes to wear! I eat three meals and two Snacks depending how long my day is. I walk and have been doing farm work about to begin swimming and elliptical at the gym. I drink Water constantly! Keep a cup with me full of ice and water. I'm glad I did this. Hope everyone is doing well too! Oh I'm down 8 pants sizes since surgery.

Hey. I was sleeved on June 8th here in New Brunswick, Canada. I have had no issues at all with surgery and recovery, and have no issues at all with my Protein intake with the help of the Premier Protein bars and shakes (1 a day) and Water can at times be a struggle, but always close to where I need to be.

Having a hard time with all the comments as I have hidden behind my weight so long. I am only weighing myself once a month so I guess today is going to be my second weigh in. I'll post my current weight and stats soon.

Glad to have found this thread!!!

Go June 8th Sleevers!!!!!!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
