Did insurance count starting bmi or bmi right before approval?

I have a bmi of 42 now im worried on the weight loss program il be under 40 bmi before dr sends for approval, so I thought id ask if they count the starting weight or right before?

I had the same concerns, it is based on your weight at your initial consultation.

Check with your nurse, I just went through by this and my insurance company counted every weight up to the morning of surgery. For me it was a balancing act as well. They will know the exacts of your insurance company.

Because of the weight loss through the pre op diet it is expected that there will be some weight loss... I don't believe they count that weight loss.

My insurance went by my weight at my inital consultation.
