  1. I have my last appointment next week to finish out my 6 months required for insurance approval. Im worried I wont get approved because ive only lost 5lbs... I am hoping that being I didnt gain I will still get approved. I did change my diet alot, no pop of any kind, cut back on sweets but I did have a few cheat days here and there... its the mental after surgery I wont be able to eat this mind game.. Ugh what do you all think will I still have a shot? I have upmc for you I live in PA
  2. I was told not to gain weight. But im not sure if that was every month or overall lol
  3. I was just wondering after bypass how many of you dont have lose skin? Is it possiable to not need any plastics? I am just now at the start of my journey, going to pre surgical class tom. I know everyones different. I have a big butt, large thighs and big arms, I will not be able to get plastics I have 3 kids so they are my budgeting priority lol. Im excited to be on the way to a healthier me reguardless if I end up with extra skin.

  5. My pre surgical class is June 8th at hope bariatrics in pa, I have upmc for you insurance. My weight is 275 with a bmi of 42 I think, Im so worried on the 6 month diet im going to lose to much and go under a 40 bmi and get rejected... I have been a yoyo diet kinda girl my whole life, Im so ready to eat to live and not live to eat! I have been reading all the info I can and some people say its starting bmi that counts and others say if I go under 40 bmi before approved that I will get denied... ugh so worried about it I cant think about anything else and I havnt even got to first appointment...I see my pcp on the 24th

    Hello Im hoping someone can answer some questions from me. I have upmc for you insurance. I am 275 lbs right now, my bmi is 42, I have no other health problems other than being overweight. Question is if I go under 40 bmi withen 6 months program am I then not able to get surgery? I am in PA and going through hope Bariatrics program, my pre surgical class is June 8th

    Thanks It would just be heartbreaking to lose to much to get the surgery, I have been a yoyo diet person my whole life. I need this surgery
