  1. First of all I want to say, my heart hurts for you. You are caring for someone you love so much and being a caregiver is one of the hardest jobs there is. That being said you have also said you know you need to take better care of yourself so I am glad you posted on here. Do you have someone to talk to ? A pastor, or friend just to get out and vent would be really good for you. Talk to your doctor and get back on your medicine with their advice. There are a lot of on-line resources for caregivers. please take care of yourself and know that you doing great!!!!
  2. I second the above statement and you will need the PCP after surgery so go in and let them know where you are coming from. I don't think you will have a problem.
  3. I had that exact issue they just did an EGD. Turns out I have small ulcers he thought I could have a reduced opening that he would have to widen. Make sure and be as honest as you can about when you get sick is there pain etc.
  4. My weight had not moved for a week. I lost 20 lbs in the first the weeks. The next week nothing- it could cause a person to freak out. Any one else stall out this early?
  5. Check with your nurse, I just went through by this and my insurance company counted every weight up to the morning of surgery. For me it was a balancing act as well. They will know the exacts of your insurance company.
  6. The hospital stay wasn't bad at all, I was up walking soon after getting to the floor. I came home on Thursday and have been active since. I have been walking several times a day, what is everyone doing for exercise? Obviously not weight lifting. The Protein shakes are going good, Water intake is good. What is everyone using for thier protein? I am using Jay Robb and ISO-100. Let Me know how you are doing. Diane
