  9. I have UHC also, and was approved on the same day that my paperwork was submitted. All I needed was 3 months of nutrition visits, psych evaluation, EGD, and blood work.
  10. Congratulations! You look great! I had my surgery on May 26 and I'm down 36 Pounds. Starting weight: 254 Surgery weight: 247 Current weight: 218 Goal weight: 150

  12. That is amazing weight loss in that time, congratulations! Totally relate to the head hunger/breaking old habits too, it's a battle that I don't think will ever go away, but the more we reap the rewards of the weight loss the more we will be able to stay strong and fight those unhelpful urges!May 26 sleever here & I'm down 33lbs. Still weak though.
  13. I was also sleeved on the 26th of May! I have hit a stall this last week or two! I am super frustrated!!! My one month spot is coming next Friday and I pray the scale moves for me again! This is super disappointing knowing I am doing all the right things. A finger if peanut butter shouldn't make me stay the same weight should it?I hit a stall this week too. The scale refused to budge from 305 for days! Then shot down to 298, so I was super excited I was in the 200s but then it went back up to 301. Ugh!May 26 sleever here. On June 26 I reach 30 lbs. I've gone from 254 to 223. I also stalled after the 2nd week.

  16. I agree. It's pretty disgraceful that any surgeon would perform surgery on a patient without ensuring they are FULLY informed about all of the steps they will have to take post-op to ensure the best possibly recovery and outcome. It reflects badly on the surgeons if their patients fail, so you would think it would be in their best interests to do everything in their power to help them succeed! I highly doubt that those patients didn't receive the proper information about the procedure from their physicians. People come here and ask those types of questions because they want to see if anyone else broke their diets, and what we're the consequences to their health; they knew better than to ask a physician about cheating. I wouldn't be so quick to feel as though a person should lose their license because a patient pretended that they weren't informed.

  18. I also have 3 incisions that feels like little nodules... Dr. says it's normal.
  19. Yes... I'm almost 4 weeks post op, and lost 21 pounds in the 1st two weeks. In the 3rd week I didn't lose anything, but my nut. said it's expected. This week I've noticed a 3 pound loss. I've heard that every so often there's a little stall.

  25. I did also. I went to a family cook out and at around 8 crayfish and tried a Coke but it choked me before I got the first swallow.
  26. Tried it yesterday at a cook out, and it felt like I almost passed on. I'm only 3 weeks out, but like others the water is beginning to make me nauseous. It didn't go down well and it bubbled up. Horrible! Won't be trying it again anytime soon.

  28. I share similar feelings about the pre op diet. It was such a drastic change for me. I went from eating whatever I wanted to only protein and water. My post op diet hasn't been much better. 1st week only water, sf Popsicles, sf Gelatin, 2oz broth. 2nd week I can add protein to my original diet. I've had many crying nights because I still feel extremely hungry, but I know it's for a better cause.
  29. My sleeve was May 26 & I feel the same way. I'm hoping it's a phase.
  30. Had my sleeve on May 26 also. Weight on day of surgery 254. Weight today 231.
  31. Yes, I had my sleeve on May 26!
  32. I am May 26 also.
