Hey there September sleevers! Any one out there?

Hi! I just started my journey and I am looking forward to chatting with those of you who are on a similar time-frame as myself. My insurance is Cigna so they require a 3 month supervised diet, psych eval and sign off from my primary (which I am worried about, I haven't seen him in 5 years so what if he wont sign off? should I find someone new? suggestions?)

I am aiming for an early September surgery date, my Dr. said it is doable! I am excited and nervous.

I have learned so much already from reading about everyone else's experience it has really helped to calm me down.

I feel like I am obsessed with this and it's all I can think about. I have probably watched 200 youtube videos so far. LOL

Any tips, tricks or advice is welcome and appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

It seems like it has taken forever to get here but here I am! September 3rd! I leave at 4:00 a.m. for the hospital. Excited. A wee bit nervous and I haven't slept a wink. Instead I have been cleaning

I don't know about the rest of you but I just had a moment where I realized that next 4th of July I will be nearly half my size. It made me *SMILE* Happy 4th everyone!!

I'm scheduled to be sleeved on Sept. 14th! My hubby will be sleeved on July 29. We're so excited! And a little nervous :)

I am hoping for August. I have one more nutritional visit on July 10th. MD office said they will submit that day to insurance.

hi everyone! checking in to let you know where I am at. I had my 2nd appointment on Tuesday, it went well, my surgeon is wonderful (made me stand up and give him a hug! I have never had a Dr. ask for a hug). I also saw my primary, I scheduled my edg and my nutritionist appointment. My psych evaluation is in July. My next surgeons appointment is my last one (July 28th). Where has the time gone? Moving so fast and yet so slow. September will be here before I know it. I really wish my boyfriend was more supportive and understood what this means to me but that isn't working out so well at the moment. However, it isn't stopping me or changing my mind. Just makes it awkward. Thanks for listening! :)

Moving right along notforthefaint! Sorry your bf doesn't understand. thankfully my husband is great abt this. Just wishes I had already had cause I'm always talking about. Lol

:D

Notforthefaint, sorry your boyfriend is not being supportive, I guess keep trying to get him to understand how important this is to you. Tell him it will improve you sex life maybe that will bring him around. LOL!

I know my husband was unsure at first but once he understood how bad I wanted to do this. Also the improvement for my health. He told me he would support me 100%. Thank my lucky stars for this man everyday.

Shortylynx2 thankfully the sex is phenomenal, but he's still being a jerk for now. lol

Currently, at the clinic doing my sleep apnea study. Feeling like Freakinstein. Lol! Bored off my rocker. Don't know how they expect people to sleep with this much carp attached to them.

Hopefully it passes fast for you. Didn't have to have one of those.

Hey guys, I had my psych evaluation on Wednesday in which I passed so on to the next step and that's my PCP appointment for my ekg and blood work

Mlilwood are you talking abt the endoscopy by chance? I was asleep for mine so no problem. But was really sore in my chest and back next day

Had that on Tuesday. It went great. This was a tube up my nose and down my throat. Totally awake for it. My throat is still sore. It's called and esophageal menometry, I think.
