what are these parm. meatballs you speak of?? Is the recipe on here? I have a hard time getting my meatballs soft..any tips?

I found the recipe ~~> here <~~

The first time I made them, I let them cook in the crock pot all day (about 6-7 hours on low) and they were really soft & tender. This last time I only let them cook for 4 hours or so and they're not as soft so I definitely recommend leaving them in longer than what the recipe says

I had my first fill on Tuesday, so I'm back on liquids/soft foods again.

I read what some of you are eating, and I think I'm eating wayyyy too much?

Yet I've lost 28 pounds so far, so I don't know. I just feel like I should be eating way less than I should.

I keep track of everything (nutrition, Water, exercise) with my SparkPeople page. For the most part, I've managed to stay less than 1500 calories every day.

I've been eating a lot of tuna salad and chicken salad.

But I don't make it the traditional way.

Instead of mayo or miracle whip (ugh) I mix the tuna or chicken with spinach dip, or artichoke dip. Two tablespoons of the stuff only has 90 calories, is really good and you get a bit of extra vegetable in your diet without even thinking about it.

Frankly, the salad turns out much creamier and yummier than with mayo.

We had burgers the other day. Now, I don't eat much bread, so I have to be creative with my burgers. I used the spinach dip instead of mayo, and it was AWESOME!

I may never eat mayo again. LOL

bama belle~ It usually takes a few fills before you get some really good restriction, so don't worry if you think you are eating more than some of us. It took A LOT of fills for me to get good restriction.

Not sure what kind of spinach dip you are using, but Tostito's creamy spinach dip is really good and only has 50 calories or 2 tbsp. I too use it all the time, I've even made egg salad and deviled eggs with it.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
