Recommended Posts

I had my sleeve on May 18th and am down 17 lbs as of today and FEELING GREAT! I am just a little sore, but have more energy (minus those 17lbs) and am up and walking a lot. I had my surgery outpatient and so far so good! How about you?

Hey there! Had mine on 5/14! I am down 10lbs. so far. I don't think I'm getting enough Protein I still feel very weak and tired. Maybe if I walked just a little bit more I wouldn't feel that way.

Keep up the good work!

DJAY210, I'm a year and a have since I had my sleeve. It's hard to get your Water and Protein in and your going to feel weak for a while. It took me about 4 months before I wasn't weak or lightheaded.

I had my sleeve May 20th. I feel really good. My scales do not work but I know I lost 26 pounds on my preop diet. I am sore and get tired easy but yesterday was the first day I didn't get my fluids in so today I'm gonna be really good. I'm so excited to be on a weight loss tract that I think I can do!

I am now a little worried because, well for one i have to find a new doctor because the one that did the surgery almos killed me... my surgery was a little drastic since the doctor perforated my mesenteric artery and i had to be rushed to another hospital to find out 10 hours later after the oroginal anesthesia that a cut had to be made almost through my whole abdomen so my life can actually be saved!! Now I've lost since may 22nd up to today september 14th 2015 "98" pounds !!!!! Anyone here lost that much??? Please share im kind of worried since this doctor obviously i cant see him again for personal reasons but i was told i would loose 100 pounds within a year and it has been 3 months and a half!!! Super worried here !!

I am a May 11th sleever and to date I have lost 91lbs. 11 of that was pre-op, but still losing pretty steadily.

Sorry to hear about your experience. If you are concerned, I would seek out another surgeon to follow up with.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
