I was just released to soft foods. Everything I eat feels like it's lodged. I am guessing that I am full but will this ever stop happening? The lodged feeling to just a full feeling? Also what is your advice an how to avoid it?

Does it feel like it is lodged with the first bite or 2? That could mean a few things...

1. You took too big of a bite.

2. You didn't chew well enough.

3. The food was too dry.

4. Your still too swollen and may need to stay with liquids/purees a little longer.\

5. You could have a blockage of some sort.

If you are feeling this feeling after eating a few ounces than you may be full. In that case, try to slow down and pay attention to when you feel comfortable.

I'm 15 days post op and I get the same effect. I realized I was eating too fast and too much. I also found if my food wasn't wet enough I'd feel it getting stuck. So now I use a smaller utensil and cover stuff in sauce, fruit puree, veggie puree or fat free gravy.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
