Hello! I am also going to Mexico June 3, for gastric sleeve surgery. This is my first post. I have been lurking everywhere learning about it. Will you be in TJ?

What's the recovery time in Mexico? Are you discharged the same day or what?

I'm getting sleeved on Monday, May 25th, in Saltillo. Mexico, by Henry Mansur MD.

Nervous as hell!????

June 17th in Mexico. I know that I am in the hospital for 2 nights. I am good with that they do 3 leak tests before u go to the recovery condo for another night. I chose to stay an extra 2 days because of the flying plus it will be like a mini holiday...lol well maybe not. Good luck everyone

June 15th in Tijuana.

Had VSG at Obesity Control Center in TJ 17 months ago. 1 night stay at hospital, 2 nights at the Marriot. Spent those 2 days shopping and hanging out with my sister. Drain removed and barium fluoroscopy leak test third day before flying home. Easy, pain free recovery. Back to work at active, physical job in 7 days. Lost 100 pounds in less than 8 months and easily maintaining 10 pounds below goal. OCC provided excellent postop followup and I have had no long term complications.

There is an entire subforum on here for Mexico and self pay patients with a LOT of threads you may want to read.

Hello! I was just wondering how you are doing and how your surgery went. I am scheduled for June 10th with Dr. V. as well. Did you like him? What facilitator did you use? I hope you are doing well!
