Weight loss rate after sleeve

Hi all,

I got sleeved in December, so almost exactly 5 months ago (and I love it). However, I've only lost about 50 lbs in those five months. A nice amount, but is this abnormally slow? The other people I've been talking to have lost more rapidly, such as 60, 70, etc. by now....

Same. I had lost 50lbs at my 5 month mark. Now I'm at 9 months and have lost an additional 19 more. And yes, I consider myself on the slow side (weight loss, not mentally ).

I am a little on the older side, but other than that I really don't know why I lose a little slower than some. I follow my plan really well and exercise. After a semi meltdown about it at my 6 month mark after a long 5 week stall, I decided I was so over stressing about it anymore. I was losing, felt and looked great, and that's all that mattered. I realized it wasn't some kind of race to get to the finish line and be done. It's a whole lifestyle change that will never end, even at the goal line. I'm enjoying the journey, keep doing what I need to do, and I am now 16 pounds away from goal. If it takes me another 9 months to get there, so be it

Babbs....I am going to follow your cue. As an older gal trying to get healthy, I don't care how long it takes. If that scales keeps moving down...I will be happy!

I'm with you guys. Slow and steady. I was 4 months out this week and have lost 40 pounds since the day of surgery.

I gained a bit this week struggling with new meds that nauseate the hell out of me and ate of lot of Cereal and pudding until I felt better. Now I do and need to get back in the game, but I'm not beating myself up over it.
