What is the physical recovery like? I have an 8 month old baby, a 4 year old and I work from home. How restricted week I be with the kids? I also need to be back working 6 days after surgery. Is that doable?

This is a really hard question. It seems there's a wide range of answers. Personally I had a pretty easy time after surgery. It really wasn't much different from my previous c-section. No pain, no nausea, no trouble drinking, no horrible gas pains, etc... I was back on the treadmill 6 days post-op (walking slowly, but walking. Nothing strenuous). I am usually in bed by 8:30, but other than that fatigue hasn't been as issue either. Whether my experience is the norm or the exception I don't know.

Same here...little to no pain, nausea or gas. I was up and dressed three days after surgery!

Now, I do so enjoy my afternoon nap, but maybe that has to do with age (LOL). I am chasing around a new puppy, not a two precious children. You will not be able to pick them up for a bit, but other than that you should be good to go.

Take a good look at the calendar when scheduling your surgery. Maybe you could do it around a weekend with a holiday and grab a few extra days to heal.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
