What do you do when youre really thirsty? I had some broth and after that I was so thirsty, I drank a few ounes of Water all at once. Luckily I didn't get sick. But what do you do when you get so thirsty? I want to drink 8 ounces of Water all at once and I know it'll make me sick. Any info is always appreciated.

Just keep sipping. Doing so should alleviate the thirst. Tepid Water tends to be absorbed faster than cold, and may be easier to swallow. Add some lemonade flavor enhancer drops, as lemon can quite thirst-quenching. Good luck to you!

Small sips is key right now, 1-2 weeks more and you should be able to drink a bit more. Your stomach is healing so it's best to take it slow.

Yup, just keep sipping. You don't want to get dehydrated. During the first couple of weeks, fluids are even more important than Protein. Try to get in the habit of sipping continuously. IT will serve you well down the road. Good luck!

I took a big gulp accidentally about a week out and realized it didn't hurt. Not telling you to try that but I definitely don't have to sip my Water. I know a lot of people that can take normal amounts in their mouth. You can chug a water bottle but I personally can take 4-6 good sized gulps with no issues.

I too can take a few gulps. If I have too many I'll start to feel line it's going to come back up but I can easily do 3-4 gulps

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
