The first month I lost about 20 pounds. It was pretty cool.

It's a fairly broad range and there are no guarantees whether you will be on the high end or low end. Some people lose lots, other actually gain weight from all the IV fluids. Expecting a big loss can be setting yourself up for a big disappointment.

ETA: I lost 32lbs. 26 at my 2 week f/u and another 6 in the next 2 weeks.

The first month I lost 20 lbs

Month 1 post-op I lost 10.4 pounds.

I was very happy with that. Most I'd lost in a month in decades!

My gentle advice is not to set monthly scale goals. Instead, focus on something you can control -- like your Protein grams, Water ounces, steps walked, etc.

I lost 19.

a lot depends on your size to start with, etc. i lost 38 pounds first month

but that is not typical. Every journey is different.

Since surgery date lost a ttl of 45 lbs in a month
