I too worried if I could handle life without my friend ,food. I am satisfied with the way I feel after I eat and I don't feel like Im missing anything. I hope this helps and all goes well with you.

  11. Im 11 months post op and I remember those early on days, Keep sipping . Ive always drank a lot of Water but for the first few months it was hard to get plain water down. I drank a lot of poweraid zero, that went down much easier. I can drink water without any problems now, Im so happy with my new way of life.

  14. I found that drinking power aid zero was much easier to drink then Water. I think it was around 3 1/2 to 4 months post op before I could finally drink water the way I use to. It will get better, try popsicles too.
  15. My Parents reacted the same way. They were afraid I would have complications. I am 8 months post op and my parents are so happy for me now. I remember how stressful it was trying to make the decision to have the surgery and not having them completely supporting my decision. Im down 90 lbs , type 2 diabetes is gone, sleep apnea is gone, cholesterol is normal, my high blood pressure is normal now:)) You need to come to this decision without everyones approval. I hope everything goes just the way You want it:)

  19. Im down 85 lbs. I haven't lost anything in 3 to 4 weeks. It's gotten me feeling down, but I'm constantly getting compliments, which remind me how far I have come. Im so happy I had this surgery, it has changed my life for the better. I am enjoying getting out of the house and not worrying about my looks. Im going on a cruise in a few weeks and can't wait to not have to have a seatbelt extender on the airplane !!! Life is good!!! I need to stay away form cookies ! I have let myself have some this past week and it scares me, I could definitly get hooked on sugar again. Merry Christmas!!!
