Has anyone ever got approved within 2-3 months?

Just wondering if anyone got their sleeve from meeting the doctor to surgery? With the insurance and pre op requirements?

First appt mid may. Approval late june. Surgery July 15th. It would have been faster but people were on vacations. My insurance did not make me do anything. That made the difference.

  • I had my first appointment on 4/22 and my surgery is scheduled for July 30th. I was approved in early June but due to other commitments I can't have surgery until July 30th. I have BCBS of NC.

  • Mine was quick. All I had to complete was one NUT visit and the psych eval. I had already had an EKG and EGD earlier in the year for other reasons. I guess it was around 6 weeks.

It all depends on what your insurance requirements are. They are oftentimes vastly different.

i had my 1st appointment in March and had surgery by May 5th, my insurance did cover.

Took about 6 weeks for me only because I had a couple of bumps in the road. Lots of extra presurgery procedures.

My first appointment was may 1st my surgery is tomorrow July 6th .. Time flew by., so little over two months

Hi thx .Counting the hours lol

When I had my band done in 2012 my first appointment was in May and I was approved in late June but my surgeon couldn't schedule the surgery until August.

When I had my sleeve revision we decided the very end of April, insurance approved mid-May and I had surgery June 1st.

WHAT! Wow how?

First appt mid may. Approval late june. Surgery July 15th.

My insurance did not make me do anything. That made the difference.

My insurance requires 3 nutritional visits 30 days apart plus extra things as well, but the nut visits hold up the longest. My first nut appt was beginning of April and I had surgery June 29th

My first appointment was May 20th was approved by June 23rd only had to take one nutrition class done it last Wednesday waiting on doctor office to call with surgery date.

Nervous ????excited ???? kinda scared ????
