Hi all! I have about 2 weeks (or a little more) before my surgery. I have issues with tying my shoes. I have to prop my foot on the stairs to tie them. I am going to go shoe shopping today and buy some of those cute sneaker-like shoes that don't have backs, so I can just slide my feet into them for a bit after surgery. (Easy Spirit has some awesome reviews) What are your thoughts? A waste or money or a good investment (so I don't have to bend over and strain to tie my shoes)??

If you are a sneaker person those would be great, and a good investment. Cute flip flops are easy too after surgery, but I wear those all the time anyway :P .

I bought 2 pair. A pair of Skechers and a pair of Easy Spirits. Narrow felt best, even though my feet swell, and I've been wearing 9's for a couple of years, but 8.5 actually fit better. I got them at a good price at Off Broadway Shoes plus $10 off each pair, so I didn't spend all that much. I haven't worn any of my old shoes (heels and such) in years. I bet they'll fit nice once the weight is gone. Thanks for the input.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
