Pre-op Exam and Physical Today And I'm a Little Scared

Recommended Posts

I go in today for my blood work, EKG and what ever else and so I'm a little scared. I guess I need to be thankful that they made both of my appointments for the same day at the same hospital. I know they are going to discuss my pre-op diet more indepth today so maybe I'll have some good info to share. :omg::omg:

I was banded 3 wks ago. My preop tests were nothing. Don't worry it is done so quickly. I was actually surprised how quickly I walked out.

I did all my test, it was easy. I met with the nutrionist today and she put me on 2 shakes a day and a turkey, chicken breast or roast beef (all thinly sliced) sandwich for dinner, a yogurt or smoothie and Water or sugar free drinks for the next 13 days until my surgery. I'm a little scared of the lite menu but I think I will be okay. Oh I almost forgot I lost 5 lbs too. I wanted to go to a buffet and just eat when I found out about the pre-op menu but after the 5 lbs I couldn't bring myself to it, so I went to Applebee's and had a side salad.< img src="https://s.bariatricpal.com/uploads/emoticons/default_smile.png" alt=":)" srcset="https://s.bariatricpal.com/uploads/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
