Right and wrong things to say to insurance?

Recommended Posts

My insurance has assigned me a case worker "advocate". I have my first phone interview tomorrow. I already know I meet all the requirements on paper except a recent 6 month Dr supervised diet. It makes me wonder if there are the "right" things to say in this meeting and any taboo things to say. I did have recent 4 months with WW before I gave up (again) - it sure would be great if I could use that plus a dr recommendation to count for the 6 month diet requirement. Advise anyone?

Tell her about WW and talk about what you have been doing on your own. The key here is what your benefits actually state. Some require 6 consecutive months, some require 6 months in the last year. You may be able to use the 4 months and then you have only an additional 2 months.

My other advice would be to actually find the coverage booklet (they are commonly online) and read all the requirements so you are prepared to demonstrate how what you have done meets the requirements.

Good luck!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
