So some of you have noticed a change after less than a month? Now that would be awesome! I'd love to be able to wear cute little sandals in a half-size or more smaller come Spring. And I can't wait until I lose enough weight that my feel will let me put them in a something that isn't FLAT. :P

I have not had surgery yet but my foot is a 13. It was that when I was skinny. However now I am a wide. I am hoping I can go back to normal width.

This gives me hope lol! I am having surgery in just under two weeks and I really hope my feet shrink! It is hard to find cute shoes in an 11w.

Yes, a full size. On workout shoes ( wider fit) I can go additional 1/2 size smaller. I was lucky to be able to donate a lot of my work shoes so I didn't have to throw them out.

Did your shoe size change after surgery?

(Countdown update: Surgery in just 15 days!)

@Okiebon

similar question wayyyy back 3+ years ago when i was a newbie :)

i had to hold my hand on my "big" tumm

i was laughing so hard

how silly to think your shoes might get smaller :D

Then i realized shoe sizes definitely do to happen to many, many people :o

unfortunately i was not one of them

now i hold my hand on my "little" tummy

still laughing (because i was soooo wrong) :(

now when this subject comes up

i hang my head in shame :(

couple of weeks til gastric bypass surgery :)

good luck

speedy recovery :)

I posted on this preop and got a variety of answers. Now that I'm post op I can attest that my shoe size has gone down almost a whole size and I still have 50 lbs to go. But, maybe some people don't have as much fat on their feet? I dunno...

I soooooo know the feeling! To give you hope...When I was larger I wore a 13. At one point I dropped sizes to an 11.5 after losing quite a bit of weight.

I lost a half size in length and needed especially new shoes due to the width being stretched out as well. Orthotics or insoles filled in the problem in several pairs of shoes and that was good for my more expensive ones. I was an 8 and on the wide side. Now 7 or 7 1/2 and need them more narrow.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
