Any April Sleevers?

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone I am brand new to the forum and I am having a gastric sleeve surgery TOMORROW! I am feeling good about getting the surgery over with but a touch apprehensive about how difficult "eating" is going to be afterwards......also my surgeon is not sending me home with any pain meds .....ZERO I will be spending 2 days in the hospital but after that he says tylenol is all I'm allowed because he wants me to feel if anything is going wrong and he says pain meds could tempt me to eat things I shouldn't while healing.....any words of advice or encouragement would be great :)

I'm scheduled April 3rd, I haven't started pre-op diet yet. I feel like I want to have that last hoorah of foods I will no longer have.

That's how I feel. I can't help it.

Well I found out today my surgery date is now 1 April instead of the 3rd. Even knowing this, I'm having problem wrapping my head about it.

Hi ChrysChry89

You can do it!! Stay focused and keep the end goal in mind. When I feel hungry I'll read success stories or look at before and after pictures for motivation.

My doctor has me on a one week diet consisting of 2 Protein shakes and 1 sensible meal with SF Jello, SF pudding or SF Popsicles as a snack. Today is my 6th day into the diet. It's rough at times. It seems that everywhere I look I see pictures of food or advertisements of food.< /p>

One week from today on Monday April 6th is when I go on a 48 hour all liquid diet before surgery.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
