Hair falling out/ loose skin?

Recommended Posts

Yup :) figured it will still fall out and there will definitely be loose skin, but if we can try something to help lessen the effects vs not doing anything all, I'm going to do it. :)

I found a link regarding hair loss. I researched alot of things regarding Hair loss because I am a little vain about my hair...lol. I know that I am going to lose some hair and have noticed daily little by little it is acting up. I was apprehensive about the idea of just the wls causing hairloss so I delved deeper to find out why this happens. Appearantly there is nothing you can do about it. If your follicle cells were affected by surgery there is really no amount of Protein or Biotin you consume that will prevent hair loss in your already exisiting hair. I know the Protein and Biotin will help with the regrowth but that is all it will do. It sucks but one good thing is that it is only temporary. Anyway, I just wanted to share.

You know, I think hair loss and loose skin is probably one of my top three concerns about the surgery! But hey, we're entitled to worry about that. In my case, I've already spent years dealing with thinning hair after having to have part of my thyroid removed. I compensated with a cute, short haircut that makes my hair look waaaay thicker than it is. So there's something to consider.

I was just telling my husband, I feel like, around two or three months out from surgery, I'll look like one of those latex balloons that's been hanging around a couple of days - still round, but not as big as before and kinda wrinkly. :)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
