Had surgery yesterday and have chest pain

Recommended Posts

Yes, mine was that way right after surgery as well. As a matter of fact, that was the first thing I complained of coming out of surgery. Gas X, the karate chops on back and walking helped tremendously and for me it was gone by the end of the second day. Be sure and breath deep occassionally as well- that seemed to help too, even though it was uncomfortable to do at the time. I had my surgery at 10 am on Thursday 2/12 and by end of day Friday I was just sore in tummy area.

Good luck!

Hang in there Mare81- it does get better! Everyone heals and responds differently and I can only give you my experience, but I am more than happy to help any way I can. I am only one week in and am certainly no expert, but it is fresh on my mind. I really do feel like walking and keeping fairly active was the key to my success. I was up walking morning and evening from the moment we reached home Thursday afternoon. I used ice packs religiously for the first 24 hours, then switched to a heating pad for the next couple of days. Both of my daughter had lapband on the same day I did and they were about a day behind my schedule, but by Sunday, everyone was feeling sore but good.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
