@@cstrickland428, I have had stabbing pain in the middle of my chest too, but only if I eat a bite or two more than I should. Are you on any meds for nausea or acid reflux? I was prescribed meds for both after surgery just in case. I suggest talking to your doctor as soon as possible.

I have had a few days where I broke down in tears and felt like I made a huge mistake. A lot of others on here have talked about that too. For me, those thoughts passed when I reminded myself that every other way to lose weight that I've tried hasn't worked for me.

My surgery was the 20th. I am 5 days out and feeling great. No pain or Nausea. My doc used a drug called Exparel, and it was fabulous. Getting in about 40 oz. of liquids...32 Water, some Isopure mixed w water, otherwise too sweet, bouillon, sf popsicle, etc.

Hi, sleeves 2/11 lost 10 pounds in the first week. Seriously upset though bc the scale hasn't budged in a week. I do have a hard time getting in enough fluids and Protein but I am walking 30 min every day on top of my normal housework. I have zero heartburn or difficulty getting my soft foods in. But for example yesterday was an egg w cheese a babybel cheese and a half a piece of cod but I was so full I couldn't look at anything else. Is my body that stubborn it won't kick the weight off? Aside from not being hungry I'm wondering why I did this! I just feel alone bc all my husband can say is "I don't know you're beautiful anyway" ... While I adore is answer I just wonder if I'm alone out there ... Sorry for the rant just very frustrated this morning

Botwins I am so sorry you are feeling alone and discouraged. I am only 1 week out from surgery so I am afraid I can't help as far as telling you why. I have heard that stall in your weight Loss are normal. I know that doesn't make it any easier though. Sounds like you are doing everything right. Just keep up the good work!! It will come off eventually.

I had mine done on the same day and have noticed the weight slowing down. My mom had the same issue as well after her's. If you are concerned, I would talk with your surgeon. For women, I notice cycles get in the way of weight loss because you retain Water, at least I do. Mine started just a week or so after my surgery, so if your's is coming up, it may just be water weight.

I was sleeved on the 17th so I am 7 days post op. I also had a hiatal hernia repair. I have been having pressure in my chest. It feels like having pill stuck. However everything is going down well and just the pressure...is this normal?

I have a bit of pressure under the sternum at times. I get up and walk around and raise my hands up. That seems to help. I am also faithful w my gas x strips. I am getting over 40 oz of liquids in and was able to tolerate Isopure today...so finally getting more Protein.

I am ready to get out and walk...but N Tx has ice and some snow.

Having a rough day today. All these chewable vitamins are making me sick. I feel like everything I can eat is mostly sweet and then all the Protein waters are sweet. My stomach is upset and I am feeling weak and shaky. I have so much to get done and don't feel like doing any of it. Can anyone relate?

Yes. I incorporated creamed Soups in the full liquid phase to help curb the sweetness. I wasn't used to all the artificial sweeteners. My doctor approved the Gummy Multivitamin for women from Target so that helps. Other Vitamins are so small I can just take them without chewing.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
