  1. My husband had the band put in several years ago and unfortunately, he hasn't had long term success. His Surgeon recommended that he remove the band and have the sleeve surgery. Anyone here have it done at the same time? The Dr. recommended waiting 4 months between. Curious if that is common practice. Thanks! Gigi
  2. I am allergic to gelatin so all of the gym vitamins are out. I am just about 3 months post op and took Centrum multivitamin this morning- uncut. Went down fine. Is there anyone that takes pills? I tried cutting them in half and gag on them.
  3. I am just about 2 months out and doing great. I miss eating fruits and veggies....do you eat them? If so, when and how much? Thanks! Gigi
  4. I am a teacher as well. I had my surgery on a Wednesday and was back to work on Monday. I was fine.
  5. When did you start drinking coffee?
  6. Can I join the Facebook group as well? Will be sleeved on the 25th. Gigi
  7. Not all dr.s require a preop diet. Do you have a surgery date?
  8. The number of carbs that I am allowed have not been restricted...living on protein shakes and bars has made me a biotch on wheels ????! The part I have the most difficulty with is the dry mouth and being cold all the time. I don't know where you live, but if you are in the NE....stay warm!!
  9. MandyBoo- Awesome! Are you in the pre op liquid diet? How is that going? I found that I am more hungry now then I was the first few days. Trudging through....it will all pay off! ????
  10. Congrats! I am eight before you on the 25th...we can be sleeve buddies! Gigi
  11. I am having my surgery in a week and very excited! I have been on a liquid diet for a few days now and find that my mouth is very dry- have been drinking Water. I am also have terrible gag reflex. Is this normal? How am I going to survive post surgery? Gigi
  12. I also woke up in a cold sweat after dreaming about eating crap on the liquid diet. Glad to know I am not alone!!
  13. Hi! We gave the same surgery date. I am also really excited and nervous. Wishing you the best if luck! Gigi

  15. I am having surgery next week and have decided to tell only a few close friends. I am a teacher and the people around me are always dieting. I am sure that once the weight starts falling off they will talking about me behind my back and make assumptions.....honestly, I don't care!
