Surgery date 6/18. My doc required a sleep apnea test because he thought I might have that. I got results today that I do have a mild case - and want to do Cpap fit. They said they would loan me an automatic one if I couldn't get mine in time. Do you think doc will think that is okay? He is on vacation this week and next. I do not want to cancel this surgery date becaue I have it arranged through my work.

From my reading up on lap bands so far, I don't think CPAP will be a problem. Unfortunately, sleep apnea is one of the co-morbidities of being overweight. I'm sure the hospital would provide you one during your time there. You may want to contact your doctor's nurse to see if she can be of help or at least direct you to someone who can provide answers before your doctor gets back.

Thanks Minty. His nurse is on vacation too. I think they went to some band seminar somewhere. I was just looking for reassurance. I think I will just have to wait it out! cj Good luck on the 28th! Carlotta

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
