I'm 5'5" and 40 years old. I started at 320 and am currently at 227. My goal is 140. My surgeon has never given me a goal, that's just what I want.

He gave me a goal of 135 and I laughed out loud. I got there and liked it so much I decided to stay.

5'4 1/2 and I was recommended at 150 but my personal goal is 140. Everyone has a different body though so as long as it is a healthy BMI I'll take it.

@@Mel24 I'm with you on that one! I want to be 170, but anything under 200 and/or a size 10, and I'll be happy (5'10")

I'm 5'5" 46 years old.

I felt good and would have been happy when I got to 170

Surgeons goal was 160

Personal goal was 150

I actually got down to 137 and have easily maintained 137-140 for 7 months.

I'm 5'5" and 69 years old. I'm 6 months post-op and have lost 73 pounds (20 pounds pre-op, 53 pounds post-op).

I've set my goal at 150 pounds.

BTW, my surgeon never gave me a specific weight goal. He and his team already think I am a success. :)

5'6 (30yr). Surgeon set goal weight at 160-165. personally I'd like to see 150 again but I too usually weigh more than people expect (people now don't believe I'm in the 220s now). anything below 170 would make me happy! :D

I'm 5'6 and my goal is 160. I was that weight in my 30s and I was able to maintain and I felt good. 74 lbs to go. I've lost 76 so far. Long way to go!

I'm 5'6 and my goal weight is 150. I've settled at 176. I'm going to have to work harder to get the rest off. I'm fine with that. I'm not sure what weight my surgeon would suggest as goal. I'll ask next time.

I'm 42, 5'5" and according to the Body Composition scan I had to do, they said my goal was 190, but then she said, most people come in twenty pounds less. So I'm hoping for 170 which is a 100 pound loss and would make me thrilled. If I get lower, fantastic!

I'm 5'4" and goal of 145 because that is a weight I recall when I was 18 and felt good.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
