Im 3 almost 4 week post op and I still eat a lot. Its like the only thing thats changed is now instead of being able to eat a lot in one sitting I eat a little in one setting but its every half hour! Why am I so hungry? I feel like I was better off before because now im eating all day

It sounds as if you are having mental hunger pangs rather than actual hunger pangs. I am 8 days out and for the first 6 I experienced the same, although I was in hospital for all that time and there was no option but to wait on meal times. Try and find something to do, or take on more water/liquid to settle or work through them, good luck xx

It could be either you need to drink more or you are not getting enough protein...or a combination of both. I'm 15 days out, I don't get as much hungry as my energy starts to bottom out and I know I need something.

Morning...

You eat every 1/2 hour? wow, isn't that too much? When I had my surgery on 11/21/14, I was told to eat only 2 tsp every 2 hours and no Water 30 minutes before or after a meal. But I was to also drink Water every 10 minutes (taking 2 sips).

Maybe if try a different way of eatting it may make you less hungry.

By "eat" do you mean one or two bites?

Or are you literally eating a meal every half hour?

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
