Good evening fellow travelers. Since I haven't seen a group posting for February/March 2015 I thought I'd start one. I am interested in who you chose and where you're having your surgery. I have not set a date yet, but I will be talking with Katy Floyd (from A Lighter Me) on Monday to discuss setting a date and answering some of my questions. I am 49 years old (going to be a healthier 50's and beyond) man. I am a nurse,working in an ICU, and have been working nights for the majority of the past 27 years. I have decided on Dr Elias Ortiz, with A Lighter Me, in Tijuana, Mexico. I hope to share more of my story in the future.

Less than 60 hours til surgery... down 16 pounds... Start clear liquids in the AM... I can do this!

Hi katyh2015. Dr. Garcia is doing my surgery. It looks like I'll be at the hospital March 3rd and 4th. :-)

I am headed to OCC in Mexico for surgery March 30 and I am so excited. New to this site and not sure how to join groups??

Boarded on the plane headed to San Diego. Stomach is tied in knots I'm so nervous. Makes the clear liquid thing pretty easy since I'm too anxious to want food anyway! Lol

Okay... so I'm day 2 of the liquid diet and feeling pretty good. I fly out tomorrow morning, Tuesday. Nervous and excited at the same time. Can't wait to hear from those of you scheduled this week. Praying and believing all goes well during and after for all of us!
