I was sleeved by Dr Ortiz last month and had an absolutely great experience. Dr. Ortiz came by my room and checked in on me both days I was in the hospital. He was very nice and had great bedside manner. Dr. Morales was very nice as well. I had a great experience with the hospital staff that took care of me. I would choose Ortiz and A Lighter Me all over again. Good luck with your journey and who ever you choose.

I went through the same thing and I'm now 14 days post op and am so glad I made the decision to follow through. Good luck you will be so glad you did it.

I loved your post Andrea as I have hit so many of the same bumps in the planning of my surgery. And I like you said to myself oh my this must mean something...the funny thing is it snowed yesterday and will snow through out the day today and I fly out tomorrow. Congrats on your surgery and speedy recovery

Thank you so much for posting. It was a great read and so helpful. I already feel better about my choice of going to Mexico! I am also going through ALM so after reading this I feel a little ahead of the game.

Im scheduled through ALM with Dr. Elias Ortiz on Feb 25. So excited! I have been working with Janese for all my scheduling and she has been absolutely great to work with.

February 25 I started my pre op diet a couple of weeks early just to get a jump start. Emotions are crazy from one day to the next but I see others on here that go through the same so that makes me feel better.

eeek Stuff just got real. I Scheduled my surgery date with Dr. Ortiz (A Lighter Me) for Feb. 25th, bought airline tickets and paid my deposit on surgery date. Im super excited but a little nervy.
