OJ doesn't have caffeine, so if you crave it, go for it. Just be cognizant of the amount of sugar in it and if it helps kick the craving, you can always Water it down with water or if you want to be bad, use some sparkling water. It will be like a mimosa...sort of, haha.

But, in terms of caffeine withdrawal triggering a desire for OJ, I didn't have that issue, but others might have.

Drink the real thing. Just be cognizant of the calories. It's not like you can drink a ton of the stuff. If the citrus cause acid, try diluting it.

I lived off of diluted orange juice. I started drinking it around month 3-4. It definitely helped me get my fluids in.

For awhile after surgery, apple juice was the only thing that would quench my thirst, but I had to stop drinking it because I didn't want those calories. I love orange juice and pineapple juice so lately I've been mixing the sugar-free Walmart Orange Sunrise drink with a little bit of pineapple juice. Yesterday I drank some OJ mixed in with the Orange Sunrise. It's not that we can't drink it ever again, it's just that OJ has a lot of acid in it and can mess with your stomach. Sometimes you just have to go with the real thing for a short time to quench that craving.
