Okay, this is what I did...worked great...I lost 14 lbs in two weeks...

3 or 4 slim fast (Optima) for the first three days...on the fourth day, I dropped one slim fast and replaced with one small green salad with ff dressing....I had sf Jello, diet drinks, Decaf coffee and tea....and lots of water.....I was not hungry and lost the 14 lbs....good luck...hope all goes well for you....Remember, keep yourself well hydrated...that will help with the hunger....

Luvinke, my pre-op diet was high protein/low carb. My Dr recommended it because it helps shrink your liver - giving them more room to place the band. I found it also helped with my recovery. I had few complications, just a couple of days of gas pains.. heating pad really helped there.

I lost 20 lbs (probably more Water weight than anything). Each day I did a variaton of eggs/bacon/sausage for Breakfast, and for lunch/dinner I did a variety of tuna, hamburger patty, fish, shrimp, chicken, pork, beef, etc. My goal was to not eat more the 20g Carbs per day - pretty much the Atkins induction plan x 3 weeks.

All the best,

Karla

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
