I know I posted this somewhere but I just can't stop being upset at the most random time.

I STILL FEEL 259LBS! I am now 215lbs almost under 200 but I don't see it going down. I go to the gym 4-5 times a week zumba and lifting is all I do. Should I add more cardio since I'm gaining muscle (which is possibly why the scale won't move)

I'm just sad lately from time to time. I knew depression might kick in but I didn't think so soon.

I'm 11 weeks post op

Relax. Breathe. I think it just takes time for our perceptions to catch up with reality.

Have you talked with a professional (your Dr., a counselor/therapist) about your feelings?

Your body and your mind are going through a lot of rapid change so be gentle with yourself.

Thank you for answering

My next appointment with my doctor and NUT is the 28 so I'll see if I need to change anything. And I found a support group closer to home that I'll go to Monday.

Have you tried looking at before and now photos? Sometimes I feel like that helps my perspective of things!

It will take time for you're mind to catch up with you're body. I do work with a therapist on my body issues. Some of us adapt quicker to recognize what we look like. I still see a distorted version of me. But I'm working on it.

You are almost to Onderland!!!!! Celebrate big. You have earned every pound lost. I hope you kept some clothing from before surgery. They are good to put back on and remind you of how far you have come.

Wishing you the best,

Jenn

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
