Local support group

Recommended Posts

Hi all, I live in Philadelphia had my revision surgery at Temple Hospital. There support group meets at an inconvenient time for me. They meet once a month in the evening, I work in the evening and can't get away from my desk to attend. Wondering if anyone knows about a meeting that takes place in the mornings before 2:00pm or the weekend. Philadelphia south Jersey areas.

Thanks Kim

Yup UPenn meets the 3rd Saturday of every month at Presby at 10am. Parking in the lot is free on Saturday. The also have meetings at UPenn the 2nd Saturday in the Lobby of Penn Tower also at 10am nd at Pennsylvania in the Zubrow auditorium on the 1rst floor the last Tuesday of every month from 7-9pm.

Ironically Temple was the other bariatric program I looked at before deciding to go with UPenn.

@@BLAKQUEEN - LA Fitness. I caught a membership deal online. All access for $8.95 a week and no initiation fee. I've been a member for 3 years. I primarily do Water aerobics but also take other classes and use the machines.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
