2 weeks out

So I been browsing this site for a few months now and figured it was a good time for a first post.

I am being sleeved on January 16th by DR. Neff... pending insurance approval which I hope I get soon as the liquid diet starts today...

At this point my mind is all over the place as I have supporters (my wife, kids and close family) and people that question my decision (close friends).. I feel I am doing the right thing to live a healthy life.

I have struggled with weight for many years heaviest being 340 and lowest being 235... I am currently at 282lbs today, and looking forward to losing the weight and putting in the work for the weight to stay off..

Any one else getting sleeved on the 16th and starting the liquid diet today? I started on liquids Monday to get a head start and to get over the headaches that come with lack of caffeine and sugar.

Hopefully I am posting in the correct area...

Welcome to the site and congrats on making the choice to become healthier. Just remember that this is about you and what you need to do. It doesn't matter what other people think or say. It isn't always easy or fun, (the first few days of the liquid diet come to mind), but for me it has been completely worth the effort. Best of luck with the whole process!

I can honestly say that this was the best thing I have ever done for myself. I wouldn't change it for anything. My weight before the 3 week liquid diet was 328. My weight at surgery was 305. I am 7 and 1/2 months out and I currently weigh 197. I feel so much better. I am only sorry that I didn't do it sooner. It has changed my relationship with my husband for the better - it has changed my whole life! I am happy for you that you made this decision for yourself - you will not regret it!! I'm one day ahead of you and as of this morning one pound more than you lol. I'm on the 15th! Congrats on your decision!
