Roux en Y and the NutriBullet?

Recommended Posts

Hello, I am about 10 years post roux en y and just bought a nutribullet rx. I am wondering if this is a good idea for me to use? Concerned about whether I can absorb the nutrients this way and also, if I should be eating more solid food like apples, etc. to get my stomach busy working and the whole metabolism jump started. Any advice? Anyone else using it? Thank you in advance....

I;m not using it but what a good question. My NUT seemed fine with smoothies so I guess it might be ok but you should check with a NUT to be sure. Unless someone else on here seems to know the answer.

I use a Ninja when I have a Protein drink--I always put ice in it to make it more like a frappaccino!!

I just got a nutri-bullet for Christmas and have been experimenting with recipes of veggies and fruit. My NUT seems to think it is good for me and has not said anything about not using it. Many folks nowadays who are pre-op are doing liquid fasts such as in a liver detox and are making healthful shakes. I plan to use it anyway. i have gained 100 pounds since my RNY 14 years ago-- mostly due to having had my thyroid out- which is the center for metabolism. Just recently got scoped and the doc says my pouch holds 10-12 oz of food now-- I would like it to be made smaller--however i think they will put me on a liquid diet first. So with the nutri bullet I am putting in a flavorless Protein powder to help with the Protein issues.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
