You are you. You are not everyone else. YOUR journey is unique and unlike any other! Enjoy it! There will be ups and downs but at the end of the day the weight will come off. If you are like the rest of us, it is hard to have faith, but trust the process. I know - easier said than done but follow the eating rules, exercise as soon as you are able as much as you are able and trust the process. This too shall pass.

I had my sleeve done on Dec11. I refuse to weigh myself otherwise I would drive myself nuts. I feel like I've lost weight but my waist size has not really changed yet. Don't keep looking at the scale. Not easy. Believe me I know. I will be weighed at my surgeon's office at the end of this month. I'm hoping for good results.

Oh, jeez. Not another one.

WHERE in the world do newly sleeved people get the idea that they are "supposed" to lose more than 14 pounds the first two weeks after WLS surgery?

Seriously, I challenge you to point me to a majority of WLS patients who post here who have lost more than that. Or if you can't do that, how did you get that impression?

Your rate of weight loss is amazing. Find something else to worry about -- like hitting your daily Water and Protein targets and how much farther you're going to walk today.

I know that sounds harsh, and I'm sorry. But lately I've read too many "I'm depressed -- everyone's losing faster than me" posts that are based on off-the-wall magical thinking.

I have to agree. I was sleeved on Dec 10. All is coming along fine my weight lose to date is 36 lbs. (1-19-2015). I did not think all will fall off tomorrow and I am satisfied with my progress.

I can touch my toes and bend and breath at the same time.

I hope everyone having problems would stop and look at the big picture. We were Fat and un heathy that is was the motivator to get us here.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
