I'm supposed to have 60 grams protein a day and work on sipping water, broth, propel, to stay hydrated. For protein I have yogurt with dry milk powder stirred in to make protein count higher. I have bean or split pea or potato soup with dry milk to make protein count higher. Soup has to be put through blender first. Diet instant pudding made with skim milk and extra nonfat dry milk powder to make protein count higher.

@@Karenlrn when was your surgery?

How's everything going with the post op? Tomorrow will be the first week of our new healthy life

Hope everyone is doing great! (I'm struggling with drinking enough water just because it's sooo hard with the sleeve)

  • queensleever05 I thought I had dumping last night. I had just finished some yogurt, I felt fine before having it and while eating it. Shortly after I felt dizzy, light headed, and then I felt sick to my stomach, threw up once, continued to feel nauseated and just not right for another 40-45 minutes. Is this dumping?

@@Karenlrn yes yes!! I wanted to throw up but felt if I did that it would be history after that and the throwing up wouldn't stop.. So I fault thru it!! I walked in circles until it was over.. But the thing is .. It was my fault.. I seem to forget sometimes that I just had surgery and pick up a spoon and eat. Today it was cabbage... Chugged down a half of tablespoon and almost sent myself to the hospital. It was stuck for at 45 mins and that foaming stuff , well I could feel it working on the cabbage and at the back of my throat . Never again!!! Omgosh! I walked and walked and had my loved ones rub my back... Nothing or almost an hour. And when it was over, I could still feel it for another hour after. Sheesh! But never again!

@@Big_Mama my stats are...

5'1 sw 237 cw 216

I think I moving to fast my diet consist of

Full liquid, anything

So I drink daily

20 oz of water

10 oz of diet cranberry juice

16 oz of breakfast shakes (20 grams of protein)

I blended my New Years black eyed peas to a soup yummy.. 10 oz of that for protein but starchy so I came off it.. But it was delish

4oz of isopure (protein)

5 oz of 1% milk it settles my stomach

2oz of muscle milk- yuck! But gotta do it!

Then my meds--

I never seemed to be soo busy with soo little food! ????

@@aHealthierMe121714 ... As the goes along.. It should get better. It's vey hard. Did you purchases And cups with lids and ounces per cup.. That's what's helping me, I can pre-make my food for the day the day before. Walmart has awesome prices for these items. I got a 30 piece for $8 !

Forgice my typos and left out words... Just woke and tired texting from my phone ... Hehe!

My dumping was kind of my fault too. I had yogurt with 8 g sugar instead of 6g or less. I didn't think it would make a difference but it did. I almost forgot about my surgery before but always seem to remember just before doing the wrong thing.

Pain... Pain and more pain.. So I woke up this morning in pain. More under my ribs and and mid abdomen. I thought maybe it was gas...but it's been with me all day! I was thinking to go to the ER but I made an appt with my DR for the AM. I hope all is well. I'm a stomach sleeper so I wonder if that's the issue...
