Help...

4 days out from surgery with no weight loss since before it.

Still very gassy, but it is finally passing. Drinking the 2 4oz shakes a day and flavored water, so I'm getting the liquids in. Started going out for longer periods yesterday for walking and got very dizzy several times. I'm taking my Vitamins, ,, not sure what to do next? Any ideas or similar experiences? Help...

How much water/liquid? I had to do herbal teas as Water made me nauseous. DId your surgeon advise taking the Vitamins this soon.? My surgeon was adamant about limiting physical activity during the first week like maybe walking 1/2 a block and making sure I was with someone.

And, at the hospital you are given tons of IV liquids so many do not experience weight loss during the 1st week to ten days. I am just shy of six weeks and down 24 pounds.

During the two days at the hospital, I gained 12 pounds. Don't be in a big hurry to prove to anyone how tough you are. If you have not done so already, go to Youtube and watch one of the doctors' videos about how your surgery was performed. That will remind you of what your stomach has just been through.

A little walking is good, but until you start getting some soft or regular food in you, don't get too ambitious with exercising or walking without someone in shouting distance. I had one instance of dehydration and passed out on my bathroom floor twice - hitting my head on the tub both times and ended up in the ER and staying overnight.

Someone on the forum mentioned a while back that he passed out and broke his jaw when he hit the floor. Be careful.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
