I need your advice. I am 5 weeks post op and traveling to London for 9 days on Sunday. The friends I am traveling with do not know I had the surgery. We will be eating out for all of our meals. Is it going to be difficult for me to find food I can eat at restaurants? Currently I am on a soft solid diet. Mainly I eat fish, chicken salad, greek yogurt, low fat mozzarella cheese sticks, thinly sliced deli turkey, green Beans, cooked carrots and broccoli, lean ground beef and bananas. Any advice you can give me would help so much!! Thanks!!

You are coming to a developed country lol, we have all the same food stuffs that you can get in the States, just avoid KFC and McDonalds and you will be fine.

Seriously, everything you've mentioned is purchasable at supermarkets and/or restaurants.

Make sure you have food and drinks sorted for the flight, if you tell me where in London your going and what sort of price range restaurant, happy to give you some recommendations.

I tend to stick with the starter and sides on menus and you can always order off menu or ask for stuff to be added or left off.

It will be fine!

We will be staying in Kingston-upon-Thames but will be going into Central London to see all of the wonderful tourist attractions. I am so excited about the trip!!! I'm not sure about price. Maybe 20 - 30 pounds per person. The reason why I am so nervous is because I ate something last night that I should not have eaten and got so sick!!! I don't want that to happen in front of my friends since they don't know I had the surgery!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
