What do you see when you look in the mirror?

Do you see the new skinnier you? I go shopping and pick up a shirt and think "oh that looks too small" then I try it on and its big. How long did it take for your brain to catch up with your body? LOL

I'm down about 60 lbs and most days I still think I'm a lot bigger. I have some good days where I look in the mirror and think "damn, I look good!" When I try on clothes that's when I notice it most, getting used to buying smaller sizes is weird.

rocket, Im down 90 lbs and when i look in the mirror I still see my self as that over 300 lbs person. your mind can play a lot of tricks on you ndext time you look in the mirror look at yourself and say i am losing weight, i look good and i will look better tomorrow..and everyday from now on...

I'm 70 lbs down and I'm still having a hard time seeing the changes that people say they are seeing when I look in the mirror. However I am feeling lighter and my clothes that I wore before surgery became too big months ago so I am enjoying buying new, smaller sizes.

isn't it the greatest feeling when you can keep buying smaller clothes

This post could not have come at a better time. I've been struggling emotionally a bit. It's weird because I knew and could identify the triggers, and I made plans for support, but it was still a bit of a battle. So this morning I tried a new workout class at the gym. I took advantage of being in a new workout room and looked at my body. Still a large woman, but I had a neck and an identifiable waistline. The weight is coming off strangely. I am a solid 18 up top and 20 - 22 down below. My hips & thighs are large and I will likely need to have skin surgery when I hit goal. Nevertheless, I made it through the entire workout class. Taking that frank look at myself helped me see how far I had come and made me acknowledge how far I have to go. It strengthened my resolve to stay the course. I'm still planning to attend the support group on Saturday, but I just feel a renewed sense of "I can do this."

blerd,, good for you, im happy for you congrats

My doctor just asked me this question last Friday. I TOTALLY see the skinny me now. I let that fat chick that I once was go around month 6. I'm on month 14 now. Starting at 222 and now at 135 I love mirrors again. And selfies. Lol. And the new wardrobe. Boy oh boy I could go on and on.
