Vegetarian sleevers? what do you eat?

Recommended Posts

Hi Della, For my Protein Drink, I use VegaOne. Expensive, but the yummiest option that I've found. I'm planning on sticking with my go-to Protein sources: Beans, lentils, whole grain couscous and quinoa, soy milk, and lots of veggies are good sources of protein. Best of luck!

I used 3 Protein shakes; Prosource no carb liquid Protein, CVS whey powder and Orgains organic Protein Drink. It was hard shopping around because I am allergic to food dyes and stevia. I had to search for products that did not contain these. Other than that I eat eggs, cheese, a variety of Beans, hummus, nut butters, keifer and greek yogurt. I buy the 0% plain FAGE. Occasionally I add in fresh, unsweetened fruit. I use the nutra bullet to grind the fruit up or add to a smoothie. I also eat lots of spinach.

Hi Della,

Are you are you vegetarian or vegan? There is a ton of Protein rich soy products available from Gardein, Morning Star, etc that are pretty delicious. Also, there is a product called Unjury that is unflavored/unsweetened that is 21 grams per scoop that I have been adding to Soups, stews, etc. Their "chicken soup" flavor doesn't contain any animal products other than whey.

This coming Tuesday I will be four weeks out from RNY surgery. I have been using the Orgain Protein Shakes which are vegetable Protein. I mix those with almond milk and add fruit to them every morning. I also use the Orgain high protein shakes, which are organic whey protein. I have made lentil Soup and a vegetarian chili, in the chili I used an organic meat substitute that did not contain soy or wheat. I have felt very good and have not had any issues in the bathroom.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
