Off the wagon

Recommended Posts

Ok I have been avoiding this app and discussions. I am 7 months out down 73 lbs. I am completely off the wagon. I have very little support at home because my soon to be husband has no control. I am back to eating out and have completely stalled my weight loss. I feel I have failed. I need some motivation. I need some support. So I am turning to the app that I turned my back on. Has this happened to anyone else??? I feel so ashamed.

I am so sorry to hear that you are struggling. However, 73lbs is a fantastic accomplishment so stop beating your self up! You have come so far in such a short amount of time. Be proud of how far you have come even through the hurdles of a non supportive spouse. If this app helped you in the beginning it is time to come back and talk to your friends here.

I am very new to this site and already have found so much help and support here.

I really hope that you continue your journey and don't let nothing or no one stand your way. If you need anyone to talk with feel free to reach out and friend me.

Good Luck!

I'm with you! I'm almost a year out, and my food choices have been less than good. I've had major stressers come up, spent time in the hospital with one of my children and slipped back into bad patterns. Not only eating things I shouldn't but drinking more than I should.

Here is what I'm trying to do, first remember why I had the surgery. I wanted to be healthy for myself, my children and husband. Second I wanted to be able to be active. Then I'm trying to remember all I went through to get were I'm at. After all the complications, . I never want to go through that again.

We can't beat ourselves up, just acknowledge our choices and try to make better ones.

I pray that we will both get back to our healthy selves!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
