2 days post op. Don't remember anything except going to the operating room. Woke up in my room the magic fairies got me there. I think the gas x strips and the biotene spray were critical for after surgery. My mouth was so dry. Ewww. I feel pretty excellent for just having had surgery on Monday. I had a wonderful team of nurses and doctors they made all the difference. Baby steps

@@fuzzyangelbear I vomited horribly as soon as I got to my room. It hurtled so bad. I felt intense nausea and heaves for the first 7-8 days post op and even vomited twice at home. It's taken a while but I'm finally starting to feel normal again.

Guess this procedure just has different after effects for everyone.

@@MyssJones I am sorry to hear you had a difficult time. Thank heavens I have not vomited. I really thought I was going to in post op as well as when taking the leak test but dodged them both.

Now home and going to try and get in all my liquids and protein, this may be difficult since I am not hungry and really forget about eating or drinking.

My date is Dec 15th. I am so excited and nervous but also so ready to open this new chapter in my life. Good luck to everyone and I'd love a surgery buddy to compare things and talk to about this journey.... ????????????????

I'm a 12/17 sleeves also and would love a sleeve buddy to share this journey with

I just had mine this past Monday b4 xmas

Dec 22nd sleeved. I haven't vomited but sometimes the urge is so powerful, thank god for zofran. I am down 18 pounds with my 2 week pre op diet and surgery on Monday. Don't forget your chap stick or biotene moisturizing spray. So much needed surprised hospital doesn't supply it. Feeling as weak as a kitten but gets better everyday.

Just had surgery this past Tuesday. I am hoping worst of pain is behind me. Would love to find people to chat with.

Had my first post op appt today at just under 2 weeks post op.

Details:

~16 lbs down since pre op appt two weeks ago. I'm very excited that in just 14 days I have lost 16 pounds. I Know these numbers will decrease as I add more food to my diet, but I'm honestly very excited and aim to see another 14 come off before I hit 6 weeks post op.

~Not doing good enough with my protein (not shocking since I don't drink protein shakes). Dr. Lufti says I could sabotage this whole process by becoming protein deficient, so I'm going to try to do better with my efforts. I'm going to start my transition into puréed foods with greek yogurt in an attempt to get the protein ball rolling.

~Doing well with my water/liquid intake. I really only drink Gatorade and water with lime/lemon.

Not horrible, but I have improvements to make.
