Recommended Posts

To all my prayer buddies. Up date on daughter. I will be picking her up at

the airport in Dallas tomorrow afternoon and then on to Baylor for liver transplant evaluation. Will be there all week so please keep us in your prayers. Pam is in the end stages of liver disease. Thank you all from

the bottom of my heart.

sallyjo...i just happened to see your post and wanted to reach out to you. i am praying for you and your daughter. you definitely are in good hands in baylor....

the liver is a remarkable organ. so with your daughters transplant....i'm sure she will be back in action soon.

a different organ but similar path...my nephew had kidney disease. the time before his transplant was very difficult and kept getting worse.

once he had his transplant (1 yr ago) he is back up and even playing hockey again (which we never thought he would do again)

good luck and best wishes

Sallyjo,

What an experience you and your daughter are facing! God be with you and your daughter and provide you with the strength and faith you'll need so desperately in the days to come. I truly hope all goes well and your daughter's life is enriched by this experience.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
