Just got banded Monday the 20th

Recommended Posts

I had my surgery last week Wednesday and had a Jello on Friday, no issues though.

Not sure if this helps, I was using a baby spoon and filling a quarter of it per bite.

6 days post op and no issues with Jello. Try to chew it first. I know it defeats the whole purpose of jello but it kind of liquefies it so it's easier to swallow.

I tried to chew it up and let it melt a little but the whole going down is tough it's like a small chunk of food that didn't get chewed up all the way and I can feel it going all the way down and once it gets down to the belly I can feel it sit there. It's strange feeling

I was banded Monday too, and I started to eat Jello Tuesday. I just eat it with a baby spoon and make sure it is chewed up a little.

I was banded on Monday too. No Jello allowed here, my surgeons rules are you can have anything on the list you can pour from a pitcher. And he wasn't talking margaritas.

I was banded on the 21st. Have regretted it a little....then someone asked me when my baby was due yesterday.....that calmed my nerves a bit lol. I think my doctors diet seems a little easier than most. I get to eat mashed potatoes, oatmeal, spaghetti o's and other soft food as soon as Tuesday. I'm still on applesauce and pudding now.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
