Wow, I can't believe you've lost 50+ lbs already, that's amazing! How have you felt since surgery?

Yep, down 56 lbs since starting Pre-Op diet on Sept 2nd Bro!. It hasn't been easy though. I'm finally able to get up and down and sit for longer periods without pain. My biggest challenge so far is getting Protein in and getting some energy. I have to force myself back to doing some cardio so I can get back in the game. Feels like catch 22: no energy tough to exercise; no exercise = limited energy!

Is it tough to get enough Water in? My doctor wants me to get 80 oz in per day and I have a had time doing that before surgery.

Also-how has the hunger been?

It was in the beginning but at almost 5 weeks out I think it's gotten a lot easier. I try to get 64oz of fluids per day. I think I probably get closer to 80 though.

No hunger. That part blows my mind. Guys on here have said this though. I just thought..."Yeah right..I'll be hungry!" Nope. Guys were spot on! I really have to remind myself to eat. Since the surgery eliminates the area in the stomach generating all the hunger sensations...you really won't feel hungry!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
