Is there an APP for that - "Reminder Drink More Water"

Recommended Posts

I am one week post opp. and I am having difficulties drinking the required amount of Water.

How does everyone remember to drink up?

I am looking for an app that will beep/buzz every hour or 20 minutes to remind me to drink. Is there such an app.

Yes there is a really good one and it's on Android or iPhone. Search for "Hydro". The icon looks like a blue drop of Water. You can set it to remind you as often as you need and it keeps a running total of all the oz. you drink throughout the day.

Here's my trick that doesn't require an app... I bought two 24-oz Tervis tumblers (and handles) at Bed, Bath & Beyond – one for home and one for work. I fill one with Crystal Light Decaf iced tea about 45 minutes after Breakfast and sip on it all morning, finishing it 30 minutes or more before lunch. I fill it again about 45 minutes after lunch and sip on it all afternoon, making sure to finish at least 30 minutes before dinner. 45 minutes after dinner I fill one more and sip it throughout the evening. And voila – 72 ounces of fluid! Weekends are a little trickier, but I take one with me in the car while running errands or whatever. The same basic schedule applies. One between Breakfast and lunch, one between lunch and dinner, and one after dinner. Once you get in the routine, it's easy to get all your Fluid in every day. Plus bonuses for coffee and hot tea. Good luck!

I used the alarm feature on my phone. Set it for every 15 minutes. Used it for about a week and it drove me crazy, so now I basically do the same thing Rogofulm does. Fill up the glass in the a.m., another in the afternoon and one or two more at home. Luckily, I've always been a big Water drinker, so my biggest issue is getting in the Protein drinks and trying to actually eat something 3 times a day.

well, i suppose the Awesome Blossom app. It not only reminds you to drink Water also helps you to count your steps everyday. It's really useful. Plus, the more Water you drink, the more beautiful flower you choose is. It combines growing tree and drinking water.

I did lose 2 kg within 3 weeks thanks to this app

you can search on google play or iOS.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
